Abstract, Poster and Full Text Writing Guidelines

 

  1. The language of Congress is Turkish and English.
  2. Participants can submit abstracts, poster, or full text research papers.
  3. The submissions can be prepared in Turkish or English languages.
  4. The abstract is required to follow the guideline below.
  5. All abstracts and submissions will be double blind reviewed before acceptance. 

 

Abstract Writing Guideline

 

  1. Abstracts should have title, names of author(s), contact addresses, abstract body, and keywords. Normal A4 page margin applies (2.54 mm indent from all sides).
  2. The title should be written briefly to reflect the content of the research, in Times New Roman 12 font, bold style, black color and centered.
  3. Author name(s) should be written in Times New Roman 11 font, bold, and placed under the title with 1.5 spacing.
  4. The correspondence (institution, address, and e-mail) should be written in Times New Roman 11 font, centered, and placed under the author name(s) with1.15 spacing. If there are multiple authors, each author and correspondence should be separated by 1.15 spacing.
  5. The body of abstract should be placed after the ‘Abstract’ title which itself is placed under the author correspondences, leaving double spacing between the author information and text, in Times New Roman 11 font, bold and left aligned. The body should be justified, and 1.15 spaced.
  6. The Abstract should include the purpose of the research, theoretical foundation, methodology (the type of research design if includes empirical applications), research question(s) and hypotheses, research model, research population, data collection method and analysis method, findings or expected findings, the theoretical and empirical interpretation of results and a discussion of future studies on the topic.
  7. Abstract should contain no citations, abbreviations, tables and figures.
  8. If the participating with abstract, no table and figure should be used, and the following poster and full text preparation guideline should be followed. The text should not exceed 1000 words, including references.
  9. 5 keywords should be specified at the end of the text, before references. Keywords should be written following a double space, Times New Roman 11 font, and to the right side of a bold Keywords:
  10. References title should be placed after a double space following keywords, in Times New Roman 11 font, and left aligned.
  11. References should be consistent with the following poster and full text guideline, start after a 1.5 space following the title and text should be justified.
  12. The type of file format is docx or doc (Word file). 

 

Poster and Full Text Guideline

 

  1. Total word count should not exceed 11000 words for full-text paper and 3000 words for poster submissions including references. All texts should be kept within the standard A4 paper size between the margins of 2.5 cm at right, left, bottom and top.
  2. All papers should have title, names of author(s) and correspondence information prepared in accordance with the abstract writing guidelines.
  3. The ‘Abstract’ title written in Times New Roman 11 font bold characters should be placed after correspondence information by leaving double space and being justified left.
  4. The abstract body conforming to the abstract writing guidelines and not exceeding 300 words should be included in all texts after the title by leaving double space.
  5. 5 keywords should be specified at the end of the abstract body. Keywords should be written following a double space, Times New Roman 11 font, and to the right side of a bold Keywords:
  6. The papers should be composed of the following sections under these headings ‘Introduction’, ‘Theoretical Framework’, ‘Methodology’, ‘Findings and Discussions’, ‘Conclusions and Recommendations’ and ‘References’.
  7. The headings should be placed between the texts by leaving double space, written in Times New Roman 11 font bold characters and justified left side.
  8. The headings, ‘Introduction’ and ‘References’, should not be numbered.
  9. All headings and subheadings in the texts should be numbered properly in accordance with the heading levels as such 1., 1.1., 1.1.1., 1.1.2., 1.1.2.1. Maximum 4 (Four) levels of heading should be used in order.  
  10. All tables, figures and graphics must have titles placed at the top, aligned at the center and numbered consecutively. The titles should be written in Times New Roman 10 font regular characters with the capitalized title words. The characters between 9-10 font should be used in the texts inserted into the tables, figures and graphics.
  11. All sources in the texts should be cited and referenced in accordance with the latest version of APA manual.
  12. The ‘References’ title written in Times New Roman 11 font bold characters should be placed after ‘Conclusions and Recommendations’ title by leaving double space and being justified left.
  13. All references cited in the texts should appear in the reference list. The latest version of APA manual should be used for its preparation.
